A great university with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, nice building, helpful staff and supportive environment. The campus is modern and well-equipped, with state-of-the-art facilities and a vibrant student union.

There is multicultural support for everyone. The university has a strong focus on employability, with many courses offering work experience and industry connections. One unique aspect is the emphasis on equality. Certain facilities and teaching standards could be improved, but overall, the university is highly regarded for its academic programs.

Huddersfield itself is a charming town with a low cost of living and excellent transport links to nearby cities like Leeds and Manchester.

The university supports every student really well. In cases of financial hardship and personal matters, they have special teams dedicated to helping with those issues.

Student life is busy but manageable. The course is well put together. Accommodation is really convenient, and staff are always helpful. Nightlife is good on certain days, but it's easy to get to bigger cities like Leeds and Manchester.

This university has a robust mix of culture and ethnicity.

I don’t live in halls as this is an MSc for me, but the course so far has been easy to follow and the support from Joanne has been brilliant. There have been lots of Zoom calls to check in.

I am really enjoying my experience at the University of Huddersfield. The staff are supportive, the teaching is excellent, and the facilities, especially the simulation labs, are very modern. The environment is friendly and encourages learning and personal growth.

I’m a first-year Law student at the University of Huddersfield, and overall, my experience so far has been really positive. The Law course is engaging and well-structured. Our lecturers are approachable, knowledgeable, and always happy to help if you’re struggling with a topic. The Oastler Building is amazing, especially the mock courtroom, which gives us the chance to practice real legal scenarios. Student life here is friendly and close-knit. The campus has a nice community feel, and it’s easy to make friends through societies, law events, and student activities. Huddersfield isn’t a huge city, but that’s actually one of the best things about it—it’s affordable, safe, and everything you need is within walking distance. Accommodation is decent and quite close to campus, so the commute is easy. Most student halls are only a short walk away, which makes getting to lectures stress-free. The social scene is pretty good too, with plenty of pubs, cafés, and student nights to unwind after studying, though I do think there could be a few more student-led events during the week. Overall, Huddersfield is a great place to study Law. It’s supportive, affordable, and gives you the chance to balance academic life with a good social experience.

For me, everything is wonderful. What could be done differently is providing more support to international nursing students during their placements, particularly regarding where they are assigned and the commuting involved.
