Queen's University, Belfast

Student life is good, though sometimes lonely. The accommodation is nice.

From unreal clubs to beautiful libraries, Belfast has it all. Queen's University is great for anyone who loves a bit of fun but also focuses on university work. Queen's provides so much support, offering many job fairs, a wide variety of clubs and societies, and amazing staff. The Queen's accommodation is very nice and a good way to meet people; all the residences are very close to the university and not too far from town. Everything is within walking distance, which is always a plus. I do advanced accounting, which has given me many great opportunities. I have made many friends in my course, and the lecturers are all good and always in their offices if you need help. The accounting society events are really fun, with formals, mystery bus tours, and other activities. If you want a bit of craic, Belfast is the place to be, with student club nights every night of the week and pub quizzes every night in the students' union. There are so many opportunities available in all areas. The social life is amazing, and there are so many things to do around campus, such as food spots. In particular, my favorite place is the library. It could possibly be one of the nicest buildings I have ever been in. I love Queen's and would really recommend it to anyone considering universities at the moment.

Having left behind a small village community where I was always “othered” for being “different,” I have truly found my people and my community at university. I love the social life, the friends I have made, and the quality of teaching.

Good support, great opportunities, and an amazing campus—everything is brand new.

Queens has an amazing campus and a beautiful library to get work done. The biology course is superb!

It’s a great uni with lots of opportunities

I started in February 2024, and so far the staff have all been amazing and very helpful. The buildings are very modern and clean. My experience has been brilliant so far, and I feel very welcome here.

I could not fault my experience so far. Everything has been perfect - course, accommodation, social life, location, etc. As an English student, I couldn't fault it.

QUB is a supportive learning environment and If I told myself a year ago i'd be here with the most amazing friends I would of laughed. Campus is amazing with an amazing study space in the library and a great social space in the SU. It is upsetting to see recently that the safety at QUB has been poor with girls having to be vigilant walking home and members of the public being allowed in the library late at night which has been creating an uncomfortable environment. Aside from this I have loved being at QUB so far and I cannot wait to continue.
