I have really enjoyed my first year as a student social worker at Leeds Beckett University. The university has offered more support than I could have imagined. The library has an astounding amount of support and learning opportunities and houses every piece of literature you might need during your studies. The university is situated in the city center and has a bus route to every part of the city within walking distance. I was nervous about getting lost and finding my lecture rooms but after the first week or two you find a flow and moving around the campus comes naturally. I love that there are spaces to be alone and study outside of the lecture rooms and library, placed on all floors and around the campus, so I can always just take a pit stop and pull out my notebook when I have ideas that I need to get on paper in the moment.
