My University Life

(5)·By Aliyah A·Nursing· Jun 2024
I've had the best time during my few months at uni. I've made so many new friends and experienced a different city than what I am used to. The course has been a lot more work than my college course, however, the teachers help you a lot with managing your work to stay on top of it all.

A good supporting uni

(5)·By Meya L·Criminology· Jun 2023
I like Coventry university very much. From before I was enrolled on a course I knew it was the university for me. Now that I am in my last semester of my final year I still know I made the correct choice. The university is very supportive, with many facilities you can access to cover a wide range of areas including those that take care of your mental health and well-being. The course is also taught in a very good way that helps me to learn and the module leaders are very understanding and adaptive when students ask questions and examples to be given to help gain more understanding of the course.

This university has some incredible rankings such as bein in top 10 for stuent life. It is very integritive and encourages students to learn new things with free advantage modules which include from learning a new language to you getting help with academic writing or presenting skills. The town is perfect #, rich in terms of culture and nationalities and has everything you need. The facilities are very modern new in the university and whoever joins, they will love it!

Forensic Science, Year 3

(5)·By Joseph B·Forensic Science· Jul 2021
Loads of events were given out including exclusive deals given specifically to Coventry University students throughout the whole of town. Everyone was really welcoming, including staff, students and people hosting the events. The accommodations have grown throughout the city centre and continue to get build meaning they are new and they often get refurbished and updated. The library is the best university library I have been to out of 5 different universities including Birmingham University. There's plenty opportunity to get into sports etc. through different groups available. The classrooms vary quite a lot, they usually are very spacious and easy to engage in learning. I am in my final year of Criminal Psychology (Forensics Psychology). It is good because it covers aspects of psychology that I find most interesting, why people commit to violent behaviours, what triggers people to start a life of crime. The lecturers are also very engaged and enthusiastic about their subject area. I grew up in Coventry so the city has became a bit stale, however I still do not believe it is a bad place to live. It is growing at an incredible pace and that progress will only grow further.

Architecture, Graduate

(5)·By Milos M·Architecture· Jul 2021
Our freshers week was packed with activities for various interests. You could find clubs to join, things to lean about at the activities fair, and a good selection of nightclubs and general nightlife. You were sure to find at least one thing that could interest you I stayed at one of the closed linked accommodations to the university, Callice Court. They did well to mix the tenants of the individual apartments, so you had a good chance of finding someone you could get along with. It was secure, in very close proximity to the university, and had a very sociable environment. The facilities were all you would need, for every subject. The library was a great place for students from all courses to use as a learning space, with a range of seating areas, for the needs of all learners. Each subject department has their own, specialised facilities within or in close proximity to their respective buildings. The sporting facilities were also more than adequate for a range of sporting needs. My specific course was perfectly tailored to individual growth, as designers. The freedom of the course meant that we could explore our own interests, whilst learning all the necessary content along the way. Coventry itself is a small, but charming city, with good range of historical sites, shopping and leisure. With a short walk through the centre, you will stumble apon a great selection of places to suit any needs.
