When is T Level Results Day in 2025?

T Level Results Day is on Thursday 14th of August 2025. Results are usually released at 08:15 in the morning. You'll get your results either online through the exam boards' websites, your UCAS Hub (if you're applying to university) or via your schools or college.

Each school and college will have a different system for picking up your results so make sure to find out what time to arrive.

What do you need?

It can be a nerve-wracking experience, so having a few things ready to help you, just in case, is always useful.

When collecting your T Level results, have with you:

• Your phone
• A pen and notepad
• A copy of your personal statement
• Your GCSE results
• Calculator – if your phone doesn't have one (to work out your UCAS Tariff Points)
• Your UCAS letter – with your UCAS number and conditional offer grades
• Copy of your references, and their contact details
• Notes of any Clearing open days or virtual tours available

Some of these will only apply if you're planning to go to university.

What is the pass rate for T-Levels?

In 2025, the number of T-Level results were up, with 11,909 students taking the qualification compared to 7,421 in 2024. 91.4% of students achieved Pass or above for their overall T Level, and 98.4% were awarded E or above in a core component. Also, almost two-thirds of students found out they had gotten a Merit or above on Results Day (65.3%)

The number of students achieving a Pass or above in occupational specialism increased to 95% vs 93.3%. Whereas students who completed an industry placement was slightly down at 96.3% compared to 97.5% in 2024.

What if I don't get the grades I wanted?

If you're disappointed with your final grade, know that you're not alone and don't be too disheartened! You have a few options available to you. If you were hoping for a higher grade, think about the impact it will have on your future plans - will the difference mean you can't go on to the career or further study you want? Take some time before you decide on your next steps.

Another option includes re-taking your T Level. It could be retaking the whole course or resitting a specific area - the core exams, the employer set project or the occupational specialist project. Your teachers will be able to share with you a more detailed breakdown of your exams to help you decide what would be best.

If you're hoping to secure a place at university and have missed out on the grades, Clearing is available to you. Here, you can find courses that still have places available and apply directly through the university. Clearing is open from 5th July through to 20th October. Most places fill up on Results Day so you'll want to be quick to secure a spot.

Another option is studying for a foundation degree. Universities offer these to students who may have missed out on the grades or for those unsure whether an undergraduate degree is right for them. This can act as a great bridge between a T Level and an undergrad.

What universities accept T Levels?

More and more colleges and universities are beginning to accept T Levels as part of their entry requirements. More than 150 universities and colleges accept T Levels for degrees, including some Russell Group institutions (Source: Gov.uk).

How many UCAS points does my T Level give me?

T Levels are scored the same as BTECs, where you'll receive an overall final grade ranging from a Pass (72 UCAS points) to a Distinction* (168 UCAS points). UCAS will use your final grade to work out the UCAS points and will determine whether you have the grades to be accepted to your firm university choice.
