The Foundation Degree in Environmental Sustainability and Conservation is based on our Kingston Maurward campus and is delivered in partnership with the University of Plymouth. The proposed programme of Environmental Sustainability and Conservation aims to offer an industry focused environmental sustainability foundation degree offering core skills required for working in the conservation and restoration, with options for learners to specialise in coastal and marine environmental protection and agri-ecology, through elective modules.
The programme will provide graduates with a diverse range of skills to effectively operate and lead within the environmental sector. it will develop skills and understanding under three headings: Application for Nature recovery, Data Analytics, Professional Skills for Industry. It will explore direct application of principles in conservation and restoration, use of practical and digital skills in GIS and data collection and analysis as well as skills in working with those with direct interest in enhancing landscapes such as landowners and NGOs.
