Apply today to begin your journey toward making a meaningful impact in clinical and applied settings!
BSc Psychology (Clinical Applications) course provides students with a strong foundation in psychological theory and practice, with a specialist focus on clinical psychology. It prepares students for careers in mental health, counselling, and further postgraduate study in clinical psychology.
As part of the course, you’ll take part in two integrated placements in Year 2 and Year 3, where you’ll gain hands-on experience in psychology-related or clinical settings. There’s also the option to undertake a year-long placement between Years 2 and 3, giving you the chance to build deeper professional experience and develop key employability skills. With a strong focus on clinical applications, this course prepares you for a wide range of careers in mental health, education and research, or for further training in areas such as clinical or counselling psychology.
Throughout the course, you’ll be taught using a combination of lectures, seminars, practical workshops and independent study. The teaching approach is interactive and designed to help you apply psychological theory to real clinical settings. You’ll engage with case studies, group discussions and hear from guest speakers who bring real-world insight into clinical psychology. This mix of learning activities ensures you build both academic knowledge and practical understanding of psychological concepts in action.
