The BA Conservation of Cultural Heritage is a three year undergraduate degree that blends theory with practical conservation skills. Students have the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience working with genuine historic objects provided by museums, historic houses, and private collections.
You'll study in our high-specification, purpose-built laboratories within the University's Peter de Wint Building. During this time, you'll have the opportunity to develop expertise across a wide range of materials, time periods, and collections in their historical context.
The city of Lincoln is bursting with history and the city's rich cultural heritage makes it an ideal location in which to study conservation. The course covers a wide range of topics, such as remedial treatment, preventive conservation and collections management, and investigative and digital heritage techniques. There may also be opportunities to work with the University's commercial conservation consultancy, Lincoln Conservation.
We're a small, friendly, and inclusive programme, and we look forward to sharing our enthusiasm for conservation with you.
