Our LLM International Criminal Law course

The LLM International Criminal Law is an innovative, flexible programme that will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of international criminal law in practice. You'll explore issues such as crimes against humanity, aggression and grounds for excluding liability. You’ll also study the international criminal court and the relationship between international criminal law and international human rights.

You'll critically analyse key trials, such as the Nuremburg Trials. You’ll look at the impact on the creation of the criminal offences of genocide and war crimes. Other key focuses will include the Tribunals in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia and the responsibility to protect and prosecute.

This course prepares you for careers in judicial review, immigration practice, charity or NGO, international organisations and policy work.

Please note that, due to Home Office regulations, students who require a Student Route visa to study with us are not permitted to study online and can only choose face-to-face taught modules.
