The space content includes modules focussing on space systems, space science, rocket performance and propulsion, orbital mechanics and spacecraft communications. The course picks up on key research strengths within the physics and engineering departments including astrophysical dynamics, remote sensing, instrumentation, climate studies, and collaboration with industrial partners. Students have the opportunity to use the full suite of instrumentation at the Bayfordbury Observatory. They may also undertake an optional placement year or study abroad year as part of their studies.
