Software Engineering is wide-ranging: from programming and engineering large software systems, to the design and evaluation of human-computer interfaces, algorithms, machine learning, parallel and distributed systems, artificial intelligence and data science. <br/><br/><strong>Why study this course at the University of Glasgow?</strong> <br/><br/>The Computing Sciences and Software Engineering programmes have consistently been designed to teach fundamental principles of computation and computing systems (eg modelling and abstraction, problem-solving, analysis of algorithms, etc), principles that are likely to endure.
