Mental health nursing focuses on promoting recovery and improving outcomes for people experiencing mental health problems, based on the philosophy of holistic person-centred care, as well as challenging the stigma, discrimination and inequality often associated with mental illness problems.

The children’s nursing field specialises in caring for children, young people and their families in a variety of settings, as part of an interprofessional approach to care. The work of a children’s nurse can range from caring for a sick newborn baby to caring for a teenager with complex physical or psychological needs. The course will empower you to become a flexible practitioner; clinically adept, caring and willing to accept responsibility for the care of children, young people and their families.
