Diagnostic Radiography Bachelor of Science (with Honours) - BSc (Hons)

A Brighton Diagnostic Radiography degree prepares you for a rewarding career where you’ll play a key role in medical teams by taking imaging to help diagnose and monitor illness or injuries and ensure patients receive the right treatment.

This course is approved by the College of Radiographers and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), ensuring you will develop the technical skills and knowledge needed to meet statutory requirements. Successful completion of the degree means you will be eligible to apply for HCPC registration and practice as a radiographer.

Throughout the course you’ll develop core radiography competencies – around 50% of your time will be spent on placement in a variety of diagnostic radiography settings in hospitals, the community and the private sector. There is a high demand for qualified radiographers, and Brighton’s diagnostic radiography graduates build their careers in the NHS and private clinics. There are also opportunities to specialise in a particular type of imaging or to work with a specific group of patients.
