Become fluent in Bulgarian and deepen your understanding of the history, culture and geopolitics of a vast region. Taught at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), you’ll join one of the largest departments in the UK for the study of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, the Baltics, the Caucasus and Central Asia. This degree offers the opportunity to gain excellent language skills, experience a year abroad, and acquire profound knowledge of the literature, history and culture of these countries.
