We are well-known for our pioneering research and pride ourselves on our world-class cutting-edge research projects. We have a dynamic community of approximately 150 PhD students and 80 research assistants in our labs working on leading edge research centred around a number of research groups in the areas of computing and data science, networks, cognitive and creative computing, and AI.

We have a dynamic community of approximately 150 PhD students and 80 research assistants in our labs working on leading edge research centred around a number of research groups in the areas of computing and data science, networks, cognitive and creative computing, and AI.<br/><br/>We also have exciting projects ongoing in our EPSRC Doctoral Training Centre in Media & Arts Technology (MAT) and UKRI Doctoral Training Centre in Artificial Intelligence and Music (AIM). We take pride in being a multidisciplinary school where several of our groups are involved in our research centres qMedia, the Centre for Intelligent Sensing and the Centre for Advanced Robotics.
