This course is the first year of our BA (Hons) Electronic Music & Creative Technology degree.
Electronic music has always been driven by innovation, community and creative experimentation. The Electronic Music & Creative Technology CertHE (Online) gives you the opportunity to begin your journey with a school that has spent more than three decades connected to the global electronic music industry. With links to artists such as Richie Hawtin and Sasha, projects with labels including Defected and Dirtybird, and alumni including Goldie, Pete Tong and Nicole Moudaber, pointblank has helped shape and support generations of music creators.

Through project-based learning, you'll explore music production, composition, sound design and creative technology using professional software, digital tools and contemporary workflows. You'll gain hands-on experience while developing the creative confidence needed to realise your ideas and communicate them effectively.
Alongside technical development, you'll explore the cultural, historical and social influences that continue to shape electronic music, while building the academic and professional skills that support progression into further study and a variety of creative pathways.
Delivered through a flexible online learning environment, the programme combines practical activities, collaborative projects, specialist resources and regular tutor support, helping you develop your skills wherever you're based.
