Electronic music sits at the intersection of creativity, technology and culture. From pioneering DJs and producers to today's creators working across music, media and immersive experiences, the scene continues to evolve through experimentation and innovation. At pointblank, you'll study within a school that has spent more than three decades connected to electronic music culture, with links to artists such as Richie Hawtin and Sasha, projects with labels including Defected and Dirtybird, and alumni including Goldie, Pete Tong and Nicole Moudaber.
The Electronic Music & Creative Technology CertHE provides a practical introduction to the creative and technical foundations of contemporary electronic music. Learning from experienced industry professionals, you'll develop essential skills in music production, composition, sound design and creative technology while building confidence as a creator.
Through hands-on projects and collaborative learning, you'll explore the latest industry-standard software, hardware and workflows used across today's music sector. Alongside practical skills, you'll begin to understand the technologies shaping the future of electronic music and develop the ability to turn creative ideas into finished work.
You'll also explore the cultural and historical contexts that have influenced electronic music while developing the academic, professional and reflective practices that support further study and future opportunities within the creative industries.
Studying at our Shoreditch campus, you'll have access to state-of-the-art recording studios, specialist production facilities and a collaborative learning environment that encourages experimentation, creativity and growth.
