Bringing plays, books and scores to life unfolds through a process of casting, costume, set & lighting design and then marketing, sales and performance. <br/><br/>The arts need makeup artists, wardrobe experts, set builders, sound technicians, lighting experts, engineers, writers, broadcasters, administrators, musicians, and publishers, among many other types of specialists, so it really is an area of huge opportunity. <br/><br/>Skills required for careers in the arts include: <br/><br/>Teamwork – all productions rely on everyone working together <br/>Technical ability – that requires specialist knowledge and skills <br/>Time management – critical when working to performance deadlines <br/>Creativity – including imagination and problem-solving. <br/>Theatres and production companies have become ever more creative in the way they engage with their audiences, making this an exciting time to be considering a career in the arts.<br/><br/>This HNC has been designed to help give students employability skills in this industry. The modules cover some core subjects for performing arts and then the rest are specific to acting. Join our close family-knit course and expand your knowledge and creativity.<br/><br/>Do you want to develop your practical skills in acting and performance? Do you want a practical course that will help you audition for drama school or build your performance skills and portfolio of work?<br/><br/>This one-year HNC in performing arts course allows you to build your own professional practice skills. The course allows you to train and build your practical skills and discover the performer you are. It is also a good introduction to adults wanted a new career direction. The course allows you to train as an actor, taking part in termly performances, culminating in our end of year show. You will train in industry-based units and workshops. Preparing audition and marketing material.<br/><br/>**Progression Opportunities**<br/>On completion, students have gone on to work in film, stage and screen. Others students have joined entertainment groups, such as cruise ship entertainers.<br/>If you wish to continue your education, this course allows you to apply for a one year top up course to gain a degree in your chosen field.
