Children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) require inclusive provision that provides equal opportunities to promote learning and development. <br/><br/>The Foundation Degree as well as offering in depth knowledge and understanding of children with SEND also offers opportunities to develop skills to support in the workplace as the assessments are designed to be at the forefront of practice which will embed skills to reach a wider professional audience; these include essays, case studies, posters, leaflets, presentations wikis and e-portfolios. <br/><br/>At the end of this Foundation Degree, you will hold a level 5 in supporting children with special educational needs and disability. <br/><br/>This course is particularly relevant to people already working in or looking to develop a career in education and working with those with a special educational need. <br/><br/>This course provides a range of skills relevant across a variety of different professions. People who have completed this course have gone on to work in areas such as an Early Years SENCO, Inclusion Officer, Behaviour Support Manager, Specialist Support Assistant. <br/><br/>If you wish to continue studying beyond this course, it will provide you with a strong academic basis to do so. Course progression routes could include the BA (Hons) in Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs and Disability.
