BBB including at least one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths plus a second science-related subject which can include Food Technology, Mathematics, Home Economics, Geography, Psychology, PE, Human Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Computing or IT. BTEC Extended Certificate in Applied Human Biology accepted. GCSE Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry or Dual Award Science, required at GCSE (minimum grade B or 6) if not offered at A/AS Level.

Scottish Higher
BBBBB at Higher Grade including Biology and one other science subject. Advanced Higher Biology preferred. Higher Grade Chemistry desirable. Mathematics required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade. Where a candidate bypasses the assessment for National 5 qualifications, a minimum of grade C in the Higher Mathematics is required. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
30 points including Biology or Chemistry at Higher Level Grade 5 or above plus at least one other STEM subject. Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry required at Standard Level grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level. If not studying full IB Diploma - Grades 5, 5, 5 at Higher Level required in Biology or Chemistry plus at least one other STEM subject and completion of a national high school diploma. Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry required at Standard Level grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Extended Diploma only in Applied Science, must have 4 or more of the 8 optional units in biology and/or chemistry at overall DDD. GCSE Maths grade B or 6.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
H2H2H2H3H3 including Biology or Chemistry plus another science subject. If not offered at Higher Level then Maths at Ordinary Level 2 will be required.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal
M2 M2 M2 in Principal Subjects including Biology and another science subject. Chemistry is preferred as a principal subject, but not essential. GCSE Mathematics grade B or 6 required if not offered at a higher level.
