ABB including Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
T Level
This course accepts the following T levels: Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control. Distinction overall with minimum grade B in core component. GCSE Mathematics grade B or 6 required. Applicants will be required to complete and pass MAS0001 Mathematics for FE Students. Applicants taking other T levels may be considered for Engineering with Foundation Year entry on a case-by-case basis. Please see Engineering with Foundation Year for specific entry requirements.

In a relevant area of engineering or physical science. To include 45 credits at level 3, of which 30 credits should be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher. At least 15 level 3 credits should be in mathematics at Distinction (including differential and integral calculus). Other units should include analytical engineering sciences (e.g. mechanical or electrical science/principles, physics, chemistry, materials science, electronics).
Scottish Advanced Higher
ABB at Advanced Higher including Mathematics. Two Highers at the required grade (in different subjects to those offered at Advanced Higher) may replace a third Advanced Higher. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
Extended Project
We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
32 points with Mathematics at Higher Level grade 5. If not studying full IB Diploma - Grades 6, 5, 5 at Higher Level including Mathematics and completion of a national high school diploma.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Candidates will be considered for Foundation Year entry only. Please see Engineering with Foundation Year for specific entrance requirements. Candidates who also have A Level Mathematics will be considered on an individual basis.
