You’ll gain specialist knowledge in commercial product design, exploring materials, manufacturing processes and industry‑relevant methodologies. You’ll also examine how history, culture, markets and user behaviour shape the products we create. \
What sets this course apart is the hands‑on experience you’ll gain in our specialist laboratories, where you’ll work with cutting‑edge technologies such as 3D printing, rapid prototyping and virtual reality. These facilities allow you to turn ideas into functional prototypes and test them in realistic environments.
Throughout your degree, you’ll work on projects linked to our research and industry partners, building a strong portfolio. In your final year, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your work to employers at our annual degree show.
This course is available with a foundation year.
