Mental Health Nursing Bachelor of Science (with Honours) - BSc (Hons)

Our BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing course is built on the core values of the NHS, ensuring you develop the knowledge, skills, and compassion needed to deliver exceptional care. Learning combines theory with hands-on experience through clinical placements and simulated practice in diverse settings, such as inpatient units, community mental health teams, Child and Adolescent Services, older people’s mental health services and substance misuse. In our state-of-the-art simulation areas, we facilitate real life scenarios such as community crisis support in our realistic simulated home, or risk assessment in our immersive virtual environment.

Your studies will cover key topics such as health inequalities, common and severe and enduring mental health conditions, dementia, anatomy and physiology and the ethical and legal responsibilities of mental health nursing in today’s society. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to make a meaningful difference to patients’ lives and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.
