This programme leads to a second registration in children’s nursing. This innovative and intensive one-year course aimed at Registered Nurses with an existing Nursing degree (2:2 or above). It will equip you with the knowledge and skills to assess and manage the nursing care needs of children and families, including those with acute and long-term conditions. The course will also develop your abilities to consider the wider aspects influencing children's health needs, preparing you for future leadership in a changing and challenging health care system.
The course prepares you for a career in a range of rewarding children's nursing opportunities across primary, secondary and tertiary health care, specialist and intensive care children's units. Practice experience is gained in either one of several world-renowned central and outer London hospitals or if you have been seconded within your current Trust or Hospital.
