Real-life experience\
Your studies will be informed and delivered by people from all areas of the fashion industry, and you’ll work on live briefs set by real clients. You could also complete a year in industry as part of the course. If you choose this route, you’ll gain invaluable experience of fashion communication and content in real world settings. Your placements allow you to build your experience and contacts. They'll also help you decide what you want to achieve when you graduate.

Fashion Alliance North

Fashion Alliance North brings together Northern universities and industry partners to strengthen fashion education, research, and graduate opportunities across the North of England. The collaboration supports emerging fashion talent, celebrates regional creative identity, and challenges London-centric assumptions around access and progression within the fashion industry. Alongside opportunities for students and graduates, it encourages collaborative research, knowledge exchange, and wider engagement with fashion’s cultural and economic impact across Northern regions.

We run guest lectures and workshops throughout the year, both on campus and in conjunction with external organisations.
