<strong>SUBJECT TO VALIDATION.</strong><br/>There may be an opportunity to gain Graduate Practitioner status subject to approval.<br/><br/>This one-year top-up degree is designed for students who have already completed a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and Care (or a related qualification). The course will strengthen your academic writing, research and critical thinking skills while developing your confidence as a graduate leader.<br/><br/>At Craven College, you’ll learn how to lead practice, support high-quality provision and improve outcomes for children and families across a range of early years and children’s services. With small class sizes, personalised support and experienced tutors, you’ll benefit from a friendly and professional learning environment that helps you achieve your career goals.<br/><br/>The course has a strong vocational focus and you will be taught through a combination of lectures, vocational projects, visits, case studies, individual and group tasks.<br/><br/>Alongside College attendance, you will be expected to undertake 10-12 hours of independent study each week, such as reading journal articles and books, undertaking research and preparing for assessments. Your independent study is supported by online resources managed by your module tutors, alongside the Learning Hub at the Aireville Campus and the College’s Study Support Team.<br/><br/>The average class size will be 8-10 students. You will also receive an individual tutorial session each semester. Your independent study is supported by the excellent Learning Hub at the Aireville Campus in addition to the College’s Study Support Centre.
