Criminal Law and Justice LLB (Hons) explores the legal principles and mechanisms underpinning criminal law in domestic and international contexts. You’ll examine how criminal law operates in practice while considering the relationship between justice, state power and individual freedom.
The course aims to help you:
* develop knowledge and understanding of legal doctrines, concepts, principles, rules and values in the core areas of law and criminal law and justice
* understand the context in which law operates, including its dynamic nature, uncertainty and need for reform in the pursuit of justice
* apply your legal knowledge and skills to the theory and practice of law in a criminal law setting.
