On our Physiotherapy BSc, students will develop expertise in anatomy, physiology and movement, as well as therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and health promotion. Teaching takes place in simulated environments, including our Physiotherapy Lab. Here students will find hospital beds, stairs and other equipment used in practice.
Student will undertake 30 weeks of placement, treating patients under supervision both in hospital and community settings to apply their skills and prepare for a rewarding career as a physiotherapist.

On completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). While City St George’s programmes are recognised by many different countries, applicants are advised to check with their national authorities if they wish to practise in their chosen country.

Full award diploma (in a science or health subject). 60 credits at level 3 (45 graded and 15 ungraded). At least 30 of these must be graded at Distinction and a maximum of 15 credits at Merit. Passes are not accepted. All graded credits must be in a ‘related topic’. Must also meet GCSE requirements as outlined on website.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
A minimum of five passes at grade 4 (C) GCSE, including English Language, Mathematics and Double Science.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
16 points at Higher Level, Science or social science subjects may be helpful but are not essential. If at least a 4 (C) has not previously been attained in GCSE/IGCSE Maths and English, you will need the following: Maths Standard Level minimum grade 4 (for Maths, we accept both Mathematics: analysis & approaches and Mathematics: applications & interpretations); English Standard Level (English Language A SL (English Language & Literature; or English Literature), minimum grade 4 English Language B SL, minimum grade 6). Resits may be considered.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Must be in a science or healthcare subject. Must also meet GCSE requirements as outlined on website.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal
Three principal subjects. Science or social science subjects may be helpful but are not essential. Must also meet GCSE requirements as outlined on website.
