The Law and Criminology LLB (Hons) is a three-year programme, jointly offered by The City Law School and the School of Policy and Global Affairs.
Designed to equip you with essential legal knowledge and an understanding of the factors that shape criminal behaviour and societal responses, the course combines academic learning with practical and employability skills.
The course covers the Foundations of Legal Knowledge, essential for a career in legal practice, alongside modules in criminology, social justice, and socio-legal research. You will develop analytical, communication, and technological skills, fundamental for navigating modern legal landscapes.
The programme promotes an inclusive and supportive learning environment, integrating academic knowledge and employability modules.
As a graduate, you will be well-prepared to pursue roles in criminal justice, legal services, and policy, or continue to postgraduate studies towards a barrister or solicitor qualification.
We offer you a multitude of opportunities to put theory into practice, network, volunteer, and gain practical experience working with real clients through our Career Activation programme modules and the award-winning Law in Real Life programme.
You will have the opportunity to take part in mooting competitions to develop your confidence and advocacy skills and witness the legal system first-hand during visits to courts local to us like the Royal Courts of Justice.
