Insurance and Risk Management MSc

There are three ways of taking our MSc Insurance and Risk Management programme.

* A one-year full-time course

* A two-year part-time course\*

* An exempt route (‘fast track’) course for CII Advanced Diploma holders (8 months full-time or 20 months part-time\*)

By the end of this MSc, you will have gained:

* Core insurance and financial expertise: Develop a strong understanding of the financial structures of insurance companies and their connections with banks, capital markets and the wider financial system.

* Technical and professional knowledge: Build expertise in insurance law, underwriting, claims, financial management, enterprise risk management and actuarial applications.

* Specialist knowledge: Deepen your understanding of areas such as underwriting, broking, claims, reinsurance, loss adjusting and risk strategy, allowing you to align your studies with your career goals.

* Research and problem-solving skills: Analyse complex insurance and risk challenges, including climate change, cyber risk and geopolitical uncertainty, using evidence-based approaches.

* Professional and strategic skills: Strengthen your commercial awareness and decision-making, preparing you to contribute across insurance, reinsurance, risk management and financial services.
