Begin your screen acting journey with a year dedicated to exploring the wider world of filmmaking, screenwriting, and creative practice before progressing into specialist performance training. Combining hands-on collaboration, professional development, and industry-focused acting techniques, this three-year programme develops versatile performers ready to work across film, television, voice, and emerging media.
Programme Overview
* Foundation Year followed by two-year accelerated degree
* Taught by working industry professionals allowing students to receive training to industry standard from people who have up-to-date knowledge.
* Learn about filmmaking from the perspective of the director, producer and writer and all key crew roles.
* Access to equipment and facilities outside of class time.
70% of Central Film School graduates go on to work and /or further study 15 months after the course.
We are committed to providing our students every opportunity possible to speak directly with filmmakers of all kinds to learn about their journeys to becoming successful professionals in their chosen field.
We organise a series of events throughout the year where screen professionals tell their stories. In these sessions, a Guest Speaker is invited into the school to speak about their career and experience in the industry.
CFS has recently welcomed guests such as:
* Jason Flemyng – Actor: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Boiling Point, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
* Matt Jones – TV Screenwriter & Producer: Doctor Who, Shameless, Skins, Lucky Man

Subject to approval by the Office for Students, Central Film School will have probationary degree awarding powers from September 2027. Achieving this milestone would enable us to award our own degrees while continuing to deliver the specialist, industry-focused education that defines us. Whilst this process is completed, all of our degrees will continue to be validated by Falmouth University. Students can enrol with confidence knowing their qualification will be fully recognised.
