This course is aimed at students 19 Years and older wishing to develop their understanding of the theory and practice of Photography. The course will help students to develop as professionals and as self-reflecting individuals who able to meet the demands of employers in the Photography Industry.
Students will gain the skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to perform at a high standard in the international photography environment.
In the First Year you will be working toward achieving a Level 4 HNC Photography Qualification (HTQ). This will give students a solid grounding in photography.
You will learn about:
\- Producing, managing and delivering photographic assets to specific client briefs while also developing one’s own artistic ideas and originality
\- Historic and current developments to develop bespoke concepts and solve creative problems, from artificial intelligence (AI) to new platforms for distributing images and new camera technologies
\- Technical skills and the photography business industry to produce successful outcomes.
Upon completion of your Level 4 Qualification, you can either stop your studies or you can continue onto the Second Year of the programme and work towards achieving a Level 5 HND Photography Qualification. This allows students to specialise by committing to specific career paths and progression routes.
