The foundation year is an extended course that is not accredited by the NMC, meaning students are not considered registered<br/>student nurses and NMC regulations do not apply during this preparatory stage. Upon successful completion of the foundation<br/>year, DBS and Occupational Health clearance and passing the faculty interview, you will progress to our NMC-validated Nursing<br/>degree course and take the first step towards your career as a registered nurse. We provide our students with the support and knowledge you need to excel in<br/>your chosen pathway. At ARU College, your foundation year will provide you with a curriculum based on your chosen degree,<br/>with small class sizes, 16 contact hours per week and continual feedback to keep you on the right track. The course modules are<br/>a combination of subject-focused topics relevant to your chosen course, alongside skill modules that are important building blocks for studying at degree level.
