Who doesn’t love a discount? When you’re a student, every penny counts! If you can save yourself a bit of money when you do the food shop, when you’re going out or buying supplies for your course, the TOTUM card is perfect for you!

What is the TOTUM card?

A TOTUM card (formerly the NUS card) is one of the biggest student discount cards in the UK. It gives you access to loads of student discounts in the UK and even gives you access to a year of digital International Student Identification Card (ISIC) membership for international discounts!

You can also use it as proof of ID. If you have the TOTUM STUDENT+ membership, all you have to do is add a PASS-accredited proof of age to the card and you’re good to go!

What is TOTUM STUDENT?

TOTUM STUDENT is digital-only and is the free version of TOTUM membership. This gives you access to a range of offers through the TOTUM app.

What is TOTUM STUDENT+?

TOTUM STUDENT+ is a paid membership that gives you access to more exclusive discounts. You’ll get your ISIC membership, a free tastecard and a coffee club membership! You’ll also get a physical card to use when you're out and about.

I’m doing an apprenticeship, can I still use TOTUM?

Yes, you can! If you're doing an apprenticeship, then you can sign up for TOTUM Apprentice. This gives you everything you get with TOTUM STUDENT+, but also gives you additional TOTUM discounts you can’t get with other memberships.

You can get this if you're doing:

• An Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)
• An Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)
• A Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4/5)
• A Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6/7)

How much is the TOTUM card?

It depends on what membership you get and how long you get it for.

If you get the free TOTUM STUDENT membership, you can only take out a year of membership but you’re able to renew each year.

What discounts can I get with a TOTUM card?

No matter what membership you choose, you'll have access to loads of discounts! Many brands, such as Apple, Dominos, JD Sports, ODEON, Sky and VUE, accept TOTUM cards.

Even though you’re getting a physical card (assuming you pay), you can still use it online! Places like Amazon Student Prime, ASOS and Student Beans, all have online discounts specifically for students.

A list of discounts is on the TOTUM website. Remember, new ones are added all the time! When you’re in a shop, ask if they offer student discounts. If they do, whip out your card and save away!

How do I apply?

You can apply on the TOTUM website. Pick the membership you want and fill out the application. You’ll need to verify that you're a student, which is usually done by providing:

• An academic email address
• Academic portal login
• Document confirming proof of study
• Verification or voucher code (if your university gave you one)

You’ll also need a photo of your head and shoulders and an address to send it to. That’s it!

If you’re applying for the PASS ID card, then you’ll need:

• A passport or driver’s licence
• A photo of your head and shoulders

Is a TOTUM card worth it?
